BiographyDaniel was five when a Mannik-class mutant tore his parents apart in front of him. The orphanage that took him in never saw him as a child — he trained, stole, and taught himself to shoot until a first-hand pistol hung by his cot. He was going to join Spectre when he was strong enough. Then Dino Linse walked into the yard looking for an edge, and found a boy whose stare had already caught fire. Dino adopted him at twelve. By seventeen Daniel was the top name on the roster of Oblivion, House Linse's elite unit. His cells accept mutagen tissue the way other bodies accept air — he can grow a partial clone on his own shoulder, sprout four extra arms for the six-sword stance he invented, regenerate through wounds that should close a ledger. The cost is hunger: to repair what he spends, he has to eat mutants. When Dino retired he asked Daniel for his left eye as proof of loyalty. Daniel cut it out himself, forehead to chin, in a single stroke. The scar is still there; so is the small mechanical scanner in the socket.
